About Forcestra

Forcestra is a new financial forecasting software platform built specifically for emerging medical device, biotechnology, and life sciences companies. The platform helps companies translate operational and development milestones into integrated financial forecasts, cash requirements and financing needs.

As Forcestra prepares for commercial launch, we are looking for a finance professional to support client implementations and help build a scalable, high-quality implementation process.

The Role

The Financial Implementation Analyst/Manager will be responsible for helping new clients successfully implement Forcestra. This person will work with clients to understand their business, financial structure, historical financial information, key assumptions and development milestones and configure those inputs appropriately within the Forcestra platform.

This is not a bookkeeping role and is not intended to be a fractional CFO position. It is a hands-on financial implementation role for someone who understands forecasting, financial statements and cash flow, is comfortable with technology, and has an exceptional eye for accuracy and detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or support new-client implementations from kickoff through go-live.

  • Gather and organize required financial information, assumptions and business inputs from clients.

  • Understand each client's business model, development programs, milestones, headcount plans, operating expenses and financing assumptions.

  • Configure client forecasts within Forcestra using the platform's established functionality and implementation methodology.

  • Import and validate historical financial information and other required client data.

  • Ensure financial information and assumptions are properly reflected throughout the platform.

  • Validate the integrity of forecast outputs, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and cash runway.

  • Perform required reconciliations, check figures and implementation QA before go-live.

  • Identify missing or inconsistent information and work with clients to resolve implementation questions.

  • Train and support clients during implementation and initial use of the platform.

  • Document client assumptions, implementation decisions and configurations.

  • Partner with the Forcestra product team to identify opportunities to improve the implementation experience and platform functionality.

  • Help develop and refine a repeatable implementation methodology as Forcestra scales.

What We're Looking For

Strong candidates will have:

  • FP&A, financial analysis, financial modeling, implementation or similar experience.

  • Strong understanding of financial statements and the relationships among the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statement.

  • Strong understanding of cash forecasting and working-capital concepts.

  • Excellent Excel skills for financial analysis and data validation, although the role is not focused on building or maintaining Excel forecasting models.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong reconciliation/QA mindset.

  • Ability to recognize when financial results don't make sense and investigate the underlying issue.

  • Comfort learning new technology and becoming a power user of a financial software platform.

  • Ability to independently own an implementation and follow issues through to resolution.

  • Strong client communication and project-management skills.

  • Comfort working directly with CFOs, CEOs and other senior finance professionals.

Experience with emerging medical device, biotechnology, life sciences or other venture-backed companies is highly desirable.

What Success Looks Like

The goal is to make implementation easy for the client and accurate from day one.

A successful implementation means the client's historical information, business assumptions, milestones and financial inputs are correctly configured in Forcestra; the resulting forecast has been thoroughly validated; the client understands how to use the platform; and the implementation is fully documented and ready for ongoing use.

Structure

The position will initially be fractional/contract, with workload expected to grow as Forcestra's client base expands. There is potential for the role to develop into a larger position within Forcestra as the company grows.
